You may or may have not seen us in the most recent issue of iBuild Magazine… don’t worry if not, we’re here to give you all the details.
In October’s issue of iBuild Magazine, Portree’s ‘The Barn Build’ project was featured in a 4-page spread. A stunning project which we’re sure you have seen on our website, it was fantastic to not only work with iBuild but with our client, Nick, as well on this piece.
So, let’s delve into it!
Nick approached us in April 2021 with a vision. He and his wife, Lucy, were in the process of designing their dream home and chose us to help make it a reality.
The Design – traditional, hand-built, in-frame shaker cabinets.
The Colour – moody and dramatic, ‘Jack Black’ by Little Greene.
The Features – tongue and groove panelling, a custom pantry and brushed brass.
Nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, this stunning project is a testament to the art of transformation, boasting a blend of bespoke and unique features that redefine rustic elegance.
Classic in look and feel, our in-frame shaker cabinets were used throughout this project. In keeping with the original features a home in this setting would have had. The large island has convenient storage for utensils and cooking supplies, as well as an undermount sink sporting a copper hot tap from Fohen.
Perfect for hosting, the run of tall cabinets have a pantry with integrated fridge and freezer. There is casual seating on the island which features an aged copper worktop. The all important bespoke drinks cabinet completes the space.
“The solid oak kitchen, proudly crafted by the talented artisans at local gem, Portree Kitchens” – Nick Rinylo
This project is the essence of what we’re about at Portree Kitchens. Designing beautiful spaces in the heart of every home – the kitchen.
