Classic Cream Shaker Kitchen — Kirby Muxloe, LeicestershireLittle Gables.
This project demonstrates how traditional Shaker cabinetry can be interpreted with clarity and restraint.
Soft cream units provide a composed backdrop, while the scale of the room allows for a generous central island designed to accommodate both daily use and informal entertaining.
-
The deep blue island anchors the room, providing generous workspace and a natural place to gather, while the surrounding cabinetry is painted in a soft, muted grey to keep the space calm and balanced.
Natural materials were chosen throughout — from the timber details to the understated hardware — bringing warmth and texture without drawing attention away from how the room is used.
Small, thoughtful details make the space feel personal: a window seat for quiet morning coffee, dedicated drawers for family pets, and storage designed around how the household really functions.

Detailing is precise rather than decorative. Brushed brass hardware, subtly veined quartz worktops and integrated appliances maintain visual order while supporting long-term durability.
Storage solutions were developed to ensure the space remains uncluttered and efficient, reinforcing the calm atmosphere established by the palette.
The finished kitchen is measured and enduring — a contemporary interpretation of a classic form, designed to remain relevant and functional for years to come.
