Overlay Shaker Kitchen — Seagrave, Leicestershire

Hall Farm.

Showing how a barn conversion can carry a considered Shaker kitchen without competing with the character of the building.

Warm ‘Dove Tale’ grey cabinetry runs through the main kitchen and utility, with ‘Stiffkey Blue’ introducing depth at the breakfast larder — the layout planned around an existing brick chimney, with the island positioned to serve the entertaining brief from the outset.

Detailing is specific rather than decorative. Hendle & Hendle's Barrington handles in dark brushed brass, 30mm Carrara Extra quartz, and a Novy Panorama Pro hob sit alongside a Quooker tap and Bosch Serie 8 ovens — each chosen to hold up as well in ten years as it does now.

A bespoke sideboard, utility room, and breakfast larder were designed as part of the same scheme — keeping the kitchen clear and the wider space cohesive.

The result is measured and unhurried — a timeless Shaker brief delivered in a building with real history, and a kitchen that should feel like it belongs here.
