About Us

Established in 2018 by directors Adam Wheatley and Chris Main, Portree was formed out of a desire to provide something better for customers looking to purchase bespoke, luxury furniture.

With over 20 years of experience within the industry, and dealing with large retailer’s both founders saw an opportunity to provide a better service through providing a quality product and building close client relationships.

Our furniture is hand built in our South Leicestershire workshop by our team of experienced joiners.

Each project has its own unique characteristics which are discussed at your initial consultation. Unlike some larger companies, we provide our clientele with complete freedom to create their own kitchen throughout the design process.

Excellent company. The attention to detail that Adam provided was very impressive. He listened to our requirements and produced a good design with small details, which have made a big difference. The quality of the kitchen was also excellent. Highly recommended.

We recently had our kitchen fitted by Portree Kitchens and have no hesitation in recommending them if you are looking for a quality bespoke kitchen at a realistic price. From the initial enquiry with Luke who expertly designed our kitchen, through to final... installation by Shane, Brad and Joe, we have been most impressed by the workmanship and attention to detail. The finished result is really stunning! Thank you all, not forgetting Chris and Adamread more

Portree undertook the design, custom build, fitting and project management of our kitchen (in a 1959 house) and 2002 dining room extension. The work included sourcing and installing all the appliances as well as plumbing, electricals, plastering and decoration... undertaken by contractors managed by Portree.Overall we are very happy with the outcome. The kitchen looks great, the units and equipment that they built and installed are high quality, function well and have the fine details we wanted in the design incorporated for us. This project has brought together two tired, disparate areas into one great cooking and entertaining space. There were some issues with the project, measurement and supply problems which led to some delay and repeat visits, but whatever we asked Portree to put right, they did so promptly and without quibbling.Everyone who came to do the work was pleasant, punctual and tidy. Rob, the Portree carpenter/fitter, worked cheerfully and incredibly hard on the project throughout and Adam, our project manager, was always contactable and came up with lots of good solutions and proposals.read more
